SolarCareGuide exists to give homeowners clear, accurate and safe advice on solar panel cleaning, maintenance and repair. This page explains how our content is researched, written, reviewed and updated.
How we research
- Primary sources first. We base technical guidance on manufacturer installation and maintenance manuals, national laboratory research (such as the U.S. National Renewable Energy Laboratory) and recognised industry bodies.
- Real search demand. We use keyword and SERP research tools to understand what homeowners actually ask, then answer those questions directly.
- Price data. Cost guides combine multiple public price surveys and service-provider quotes, and always show ranges rather than one number.
Accuracy and safety review
Every guide is checked for technical accuracy and safety before publishing. Advice that could put people on roofs or near live electrical equipment carries clear warnings and points to qualified professionals.
Updates and corrections
Guides are reviewed regularly and show a “last updated” date. If you spot an error, email contact@solarcareguide.com; we correct verified mistakes promptly and note significant changes.
Independence
Advertisers and affiliate partners have no say in our content. We do not accept payment for positive coverage. See our Affiliate Disclosure.
Use of AI tools
We may use software, including AI tools, to help with research, outlining and editing. Every published article is fact-checked against sources and reviewed by our editorial team before it goes live.
